Private Music Lessons

 

Summer classes offered: Guitar, Piano, and Violin

Term: June 1 - August 31 (14 weeks)

Registration Fee: $10:00

Tuition: $24 per lesson 
Minimum of 8 lessons from June to August must be paid for to assure financial support of the teacher

Tuition is to be paid in advance at the beginning of each month


Because of teacher and student vacations during these weeks,
the schedule will be arranged with individual teachers.

Tuitions may be paid by semester or in equal monthly payments.
Tuitions shown are for one 30 minute lesson per week.  Check with Academy Director for information about 45 or 60 minute lessons. 

Contact Academy Director to arrange lesson time.
Tuition for private music lessons does not include printed materials.  Students may buy books and sheet music through the Academy or from any retail outlet.  Your instructor will let you know what books, etc. you will need.

Visual Art Classes for Children-Summer 2010 class offerings

Summer Art Camps  - June 21-25

Cost: $120 = $5.00 reg. fee (supplies included in cost)  

4-5 year olds:  Art Exploration I:  10:00-12:00
Young artists will create their own masterpieces using a variety of materials, techniques and their imaginations! (minimum 4 students-maximum 10) 

6-10 year olds:  Reuse, Recycle, and Create:  12:30-2:30
Using inspiration from the beach, students will paint, print, weave, collage, and much more while learning to recycle and reuse materials to create art!

Young artists will create their own masterpieces using a variety of materials, techniques and their imaginations!(minimum 4-maximum 10) 

6-10 year olds:  Adventures in Pop Art: 12:30 - 2:30
Students will learn about the Pop art period-exploring 5 of the artists and their masterpieces-and using the techniques learned they will create artworks of their own.  Painting, sculpting, and printmaking are some of the art forms that will be explored!

Visual Art Classes for Teens and Adults -
Summer 2010 class offerings

COURSE DESCRIPTIONS: All courses are for teens to adults! 
(One week courses)  The cost of each course is $120. plus $5. reg. fee. 
Minimum number of students is 5, maximum is 12.  The cost of supplies is included in the tuition fee.
 

Week of July 19- July 23 

9:00 – 11:00 - 2-D Drawing: A course designed for beginners and advanced level artists.  You will learn a variety of drawing techniques and styles using materials such as pencil, charcoal, oil pastels, colored pencils, etc. 

12:30 – 2:30 - Painting:  Learn how to paint using different painting techniques and styles for any level artist. 

 

Week of July 26– July 30 

9:00 – 11:00 - Crafts:  A fun class for everyone!  Make your own dream catcher, whittle and carve a walking stick, create your own journal/sketchbook, and more! 

12:30 – 2:30 - Mixed Media:  This course is designed for all level artists.  You will work with a variety of art materials and create 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional projects such as a mosaic, collage, printmaking, etc.    

 

Week of August 2 – August 6

Stained Glass Mosaic

Teens to Adults

 Mixed Media Course: (3 weeks)

Cost: $90.00 + $5.00 reg. fee (includes supplies)

Tuesday afternoons, 1:00- 3:30, June 22-July 6
This course will offer a new approach to traditional mosaic work. Students will focus on creating their own tiles from clay, glass, and other found objects, to be incorporated into a mosaic project. These unique and beautiful works of art result from the student's control of size, color, shape, and content. All levels welcome. 

Mixed Media Course: (5 weeks)

Cost: $120.00 + $5.00 reg. fee (includes supplies)

Tuesday afternoons, 1:00- 3:30, July 20 – August 17
This course will offer a new approach to traditional mosaic work. Students will focus on creating their own tiles from clay, glass, and other found objects, to be incorporated into a mosaic project.
